HG:R team releases single player patch v0.3
by Mcrat on Jun.28, 2009, under Hellgate

Hellgate: Revival
The team over at Hellgate: Revival have been hard at work developing a new single player patch for Hellgate: London. Not to be confused with their main project (which is Revival, a port of Hellgate London using the Torque game engine) this patch simply modifies the original game files to create a more enjoyable version of the game.
Changes include:
- Vendor now sells Legendary and Unique loot
- Vendor now sells Enhanced, Rare and Legendary Mods
- Responsive luck – raising your luck attribute will be rewarding
- Personal storage space increased by x10. Inventory increased by x2
- Greater chance for drops and more palladium to collect in passageways
For a more detailed change log, check out the related thread on the HG:R forums (requires you to be registered and logged in to view information).
Maeyan, who leads the HG:R project, has kindly allowed us to to host the new single player patch files as well. If you would like to download a copy of the patch to try for yourself, you can get it from the patch thread on the HG:R site or simply download it here.
How to install this patch
- Install Hellgate: London
- Update to SP 1.2 patch version 1.18074.70.4256 (download here)
- Extract HG:R team’s v0.3 patch files to your “Hellgate London” directory (typically C:\Program Files\Flagship Studios\Hellgate London)
- Run the install.bat file – it should take approximately 5 minutes for this file to patch the game
- Play Hellgate: London
If you run into any problems installing this patch, please refer to the patch thread on the Hellgate: Revival boards. Alternatively you can post your problem in the comments below or on our forums and we will do our best to help resolve your issue.
Requiem anniversary celebration: week 4
by Mcrat on Jun.26, 2009, under Requiem

Requiem Bloodymare
This week’s event bonus brings a huge 20% boost to XP, making it an ideal time to kill as many mobs as possible and hand in all of those quests you may have been holding on to for the past few days. It also marks the beginning of War Week and as such, there will be Server vs Server battles each day beginning at 10am and 5pm PST.
Field of Contention points will also be doubled for the duration of this week.
This will be the final week of the 1 year anniversary celebrations so be sure to make the most of these final bonuses before they are removed and the game returns to normal.
Sacred 2 expansion: Ice & Blood
by Mcrat on Jun.26, 2009, under Sacred 2

Sacred 2
For those too lazy to scour the internet for details (like myself) Cthulhu has kindly provided some information about the upcoming expansion in his thread.
- Release Date: this August (PC only)
- 1 new class (more may come): Dragon Mage – Summoner / Offensive Magic Caster / Transforms into a Dragon
- 2 New Regions, with new sub-campaigns for each region: Blood Forest and Crystal Plains
- Combos now can have up to 5 combat arts
- New, very powerful legendary weapons and also currently existing legendary weapons will be enhanced
- Two new horse mounts: Unicorn for good characters and Flame Horse for evil
- Carrier imp will be given to everyone who buys the expansion.
You can also check out a few screen shots from the new patch (which show the new regions) here.
In other Sacred news, Dirty has a thread on the forums trying to organise a weekly game night for SotW members to meet up together and play. Details are still sketchy at the moment, but so far all you need is a character on the Light campaign on the US servers. If you’re interested in joining the event, check out the thread here.
Requiem anniversary celebration: week 3
by Mcrat on Jun.20, 2009, under Requiem

Requiem Bloodymare
This week Lant (gold) drops will be increased by 100%, which makes it a great time to get in and start playing. Last week item drops were increased by 100% so you know there is going to be plenty of gear to buy in the auction house with all of this extra Lant.
It is also worth mentioning that if anyone was thinking of purchasing a subscription for this game, now is the time to do it. There is currently a discounted subscription drive being held with the prices of the basic and premium packages being reduced. You may now purchase the basic package for $4.49 USD a month or the premium package for $8.99 USD a month.
To see what the benefits of purchasing a package are, check out the basic and premium packages page on the official site.

This now makes the forum a lot sparser but also reflects the fact that at the moment we don’t have a flagship game that the majority of the guild is playing.
However, there is another game that some members of the guild have recently started playing and so it has also been added to the Other Games section of the forums.

Requiem: Bloodymare is a free to play MMO, so why not download it and give it a test run. It is also celebrating it’s one year anniversary at the moment so there is increased experience, drops, and lant (gold) throughout this month.
If you do try out the game, be sure to post about it in the forums so your character can be added to the in game guild.
