Hellgate: Revival SP modification 1.0 released!
by Mcrat on Oct.31, 2009, under Hellgate London

Hellgate London
Maeyan and the rest of the Revival team have been working tirelessly to get this modification out by the scheduled release date, and have done a fantastic job in doing so. The modification installs easily regardless of whether you have a fresh install (with the 1.2 update) or if you have the previous Revival 1.0pre patch installed.
Changes and additions to the game are numerous and have been mentioned here before in previous posts, but for a full list, check out the patch notes available on Google docs.
To get your hands on this modification, you can download it from the Revival forums or simply head to our downloads page and download the modification from there.
I would like to thank and congratulate the Revival team for all their hard work and effort that has gone into making this patch. Hellgate: London fans everywhere, salute you!
Requiem: Memento Mori game update
by Mcrat on Oct.24, 2009, under Requiem

Requiem Memento Mori
Updates include changes to skills and DNA, Season 1 and 2 items, EXP and lant drop increases among certain monsters/dungeons, battlefield updates, new quests, bug fixes and more. You can read the full list of patch notes on the official forums.
The changes to the skills and DNA seem to have come at an odd time, considering that the free skill respec items given to plays by Gravity were set to expire by this maintenance period. Players were told to ‘use it or lose it’, but now players are in a situation where they’ve respecced their characters only to have everything changed on them again. Except this time, there are no free respecs (yet).
Thanks go to MerchantKill for the tip about the patch. If you would like to discuss this patch and the changes it brings, you can do so on our forums.

by Mcrat on Oct.24, 2009, under Killing Floor

Killing Floor
Along with “Level Up” the new Nightfall Character Pack DLC was also released, which contains 4 more new playable character in similar fashion to the last Character Pack DLC. It can be bought from Steam for $1.99.
For more information about the new additions such as the weapons, maps, perks, Husk specimen and more, as well as a full list of changes included in the “Level Up” content pack, check out the dedicated Tripwire forum thread.
Free “Level Up” content pack + free weekend!

Killing Floor
Details of the content pack are sketchy at the moment due to IGN securing an exclusive preview and write up of the pack. The article will be released on Tuesday October 20 so expect more news then.
However, some details of the content pack have emerged thanks to an ad on bloody-disgusting.com. According to the ad, the content pack will include:
- 7 new weapons
- 3 new maps
- New Demolition perk
- Perk level caps raised
- New specimen – Husk
It will be good to get a proper run down of the inclusions, but just by looking at the list already I’d say we’re in for a pretty decent update especially when you consider it’s cost price (hint:free). So if you haven’t tried Killing Floor yet but have been thinking about it, remember to grab it from the Steam store from October 22-25 and play for free!
Our 1st birthday!
by Mcrat on Oct.13, 2009, under Site News

Birthday
It was about this time last year that I switched the forums on and told the FSF SotW crew that the forums were open for business.
The site was launched with the hope of giving SotW a place to call home once Hellgate: London was shut down. Thankfully a year later, SotW is still alive and strong and we haven’t let the guild die alongside the game that brought it together.
So thanks for the good times guys, and hopefully there will be many more years of gaming to come yet!
