About us

Soldiers of the Wasteland (SotW) is an online gaming guild/community, who specialise in RPG games that include a ‘hardcore’ game mode. ‘Hardcore’ meaning that if your online character dies in the game, it is dead forever and cannot be used again. The guild was formed in late 2007 as a ‘Hardcore Elite’ guild in the RPG Hellgate: London, and quickly became one of the largest HCE guilds in the game.

The guild originally consisted of a group of members from Flagship Forums. As time went on, a sub forum was created at Flagship Forums for SotW to help organise events and keep guild discussion centralised, and now, one year later, SotW have launched their very own website and forums!

While Hellgate: London will soon be closing its doors forever, SotW is still gathering new members and has found an alternative RPG to call home. Along with Hellgate, SotW can also be found in the new RPG Sacred 2: Fallen Angel.

While Sacred 2 doesn’t have the same guild functionality as Hellgate, the benefits of being a member of the guild will include shared guild stash, a ladder to track your characters, and friendly trustworthy people to play alongside. Many members of the community also play the recently released zombie survival horror, Left 4 Dead.

If you would like to be a part of our community, it’s as easy as joining our forums. And if you play Hellgate: London or Sacred 2 and would like to become a member of the guild, please don’t hesitate to ask.
