Question about cpu/mobo

I am thinking of upgrading my am2/dual core to an am3 compatible mobo and a quaddie. These are what Smitty helped me pick out a while back:

Phenom 3.4 Ghz Quaddie

MSI Mobo I'm interested in.

Thinking about saving 40 bucks towards a new 460 gfx card and going with this: AMD Phenom 3.0 ghz per core quaddie

Looking for thoughts and insight. It's pretty much guaranteed if I upgrade it'll be an AMD chip, intel is too damn expensive.

Can't help with the tech question though. I do not keep up with any of it really until its time for me to upgrade and then i just start googling a billion questions I have and compare reviews of products that make the short list.
