Seems the new update could include some really challenging zones and bosses.
... Maybe a new hardcore mode... when your dead, your dead?
There are changes coming to death. The name isn't
tongue-in-cheek.
Which isn't to discount the current difficulty at upper level play in Requiem. Try ducking around the edges of Lake El Med @ Nightmare... or be the first to spawn inside Wrecked Ship and lose a week of grind time... or take RuinHorn's aggro for 10 seconds... or play main tank position in a boss raid... or watch yer PUG healer stand next to ya whacking a boss with a stick while you crumble to the tune of $10k in repairs...
let us know you feel about difficulty settings and the pain of death.
Also, tip your Tank.
Possibly de-lvling, though that's extreme and cumbersome to implement. More than likely we'll be looking at -% XP. As in: while we may not de-lvl per se, -14.7% below 0.0% may be a possibility. That's fairly standard in eastern mmo's.
Never had a griefer/pk'er tell ya they work for Gravity, getting people to buy more pots and costumes? lolololol. You will. And don't assume they're joking...
Thursday, July 09, 2009 Season 2 Sneak Peek - Temperion ChangesChanges are coming to the existing character development. Currently characters develop in the following way:
Level 1 ~ 9 Temperion
Level 10 ~ 49 First Job
Level 50 ~ Second Job
The developers decided to remove the phase Temperion to allow players to immediately chose a profession. This will entice players to try our new classes and their unique features. This will also bring about some redesigning entry-level quests in order to meet these changes. As a result, players will evolve as follows:
Level 1 ~ 49 First Job
Level 50 ~ Second Job
Thus, at the beginning of the game players will choose not only the appearance and the race of your character, but also one of the eight unique jobs. The word «Temperion» remain in the vocabulary game, however, this will always be the symbol for all genetically modified soldiers who bravely fought against the monsters of Ethergia.

Thursday, June 25, 2009 Interview with Requiem Game Developer
Here is an interview from our friends over at :
www.thisisgame.com. We have translated the interview below between the GM at Thisisgame.com and our Project Manager Seomoon at Gravity HQ in Korea.
[GM]Rondel: Is season 2 coming out? When can we see it?
[PM]Seomoon: Yes it is. J After we go through our internal process we are going to roll out the update. It is going to be during summer of this year, not after.
[GM] Rondel: During our last interview, you said the update will be released in June. Why has it been delayed?
[PM]Seomoon: Since we had to do internal testing and fixes on the update, we had to delay it. I am sorry for not meeting our user’s expectation.
[GM] Rondel: Based on our last interview, you mentioned that each character will become more distinctive from one another. Does this mean that we can expect skill and stat changes on each character?
[PM]Seomoon: Yes of course. We are going to keep the main frame but change things that are necessary to make each character more distinctive from one another. We would like our user’s opinion on this.
[GM] Rondel: A lot of users who reached their maximum level need more contents. They are tired of killing same monsters over and over.
[PM]Seomoon: A lot of Requiem users reached maximum level and we will be focusing on developing more contents for those users. We are not only going to add more quests and monsters, but also going to make the battlefield system more fun.
[GM] Rondel: Some users have been taking advantages of PK system and killing low level players making them not want to play the game. Do you have any plan for this?
[PM]Seomoon: PK system is not going to be a main focus for this update but we are working on this to prevent low level players from quitting.
[GM] Rondel: I know you have already announced armors for level 70 players. Are you going to release weapons for level 70 users as well?
[PM]Seomoon: Yes, of course.
[GM] Rondel: Any new system for this season 2 update?
[PM]Seomoon: We are going to add pet system and change the battlefield system. And also, we are going to change some portion of the beast possession system.
[GM] Rondel: That means my interview will be more. Ha Ha.
[GM] Rondel: Update like this is important. But also Requiem community is also important since we have fewer users playing this game. Do you have any solution for this?
[PM]Seomoon: We will be changing in-game UI and chatting system so that it can be much easier for users to communicate. We are actually benchmarking the system Ragnarok is currently using.
[GM] Rondel: Are you planning on releasing the sixth DNA for the season 2 update?
[PM]Seomoon: I have not seen the sixth DNA yet but we are changing the entire DNA system to make it more unique and appealing to our users.
[GM] Rondel: What is your expectation on this season 2 update?
[PM]Seomoon: Our focus of the season 2 update is for new Requiem users, users who once played Requiem and have not played ever since, and high level users. We will also be focusing on more marketing efforts as well as making Requiem more fun to play.
[GM] Rondel: Any closing comments to Requiem users?
[PM]Seomoon: Thank you. I am sure that after the season 2 update, our users will have more fun playing Requiem.
