The long awaited Hellgate: Revival 1.0 modification has been released today, marking the 2 year anniversary of Hellgate: London’s launch.

Maeyan and the rest of the Revival team have been working tirelessly to get this modification out by the scheduled release date, and have done a fantastic job in doing so. The modification installs easily regardless of whether you have a fresh install (with the 1.2 update) or if you have the previous Revival 1.0pre patch installed.

Changes and additions to the game are numerous and have been mentioned here before in previous posts, but for a full list, check out the patch notes available on Google docs.

To get your hands on this modification, you can download it from the Revival forums or simply head to our downloads page and download the modification from there.

I would like to thank and congratulate the Revival team for all their hard work and effort that has gone into making this patch. Hellgate: London fans everywhere, salute you!

Back in the beginning of August the Revival 1.0 patch notes were announced. 5 weeks later and the patch is still yet to be released – but with good reason.

The Revival team decided to delay the release of the 1.0 single player patch, most probably due to the sheer amount of really cool stuff they want to put in there, and thankfully Maeyan has re-released the patch notes which now include all the new additions to the patch.

Below is a sample of what to expect in the Revival patch:

• Fawkes event loot
• In game pets Cocomoco and Mantawraith
• Dye kits including special ‘Founders only’ dyes
• Transmogrifying cube
• Skill and Attribute Retrainers
• Unlocked ‘multiplayer only’ unique items
• Dawn of the Zombies – a new quest where you kill 150 zombies!
• New custom launcher
• Standard balances & fixes

The release date for the patch is listed as October 31st.

Maeyan, the Hellgate Revival Project Coordinator, has released the patch notes for the upcoming 1.0 single player patch. This patch will be the first stable modification released by the team, which will include many new changes not previously seen in the pre-release patches.

New changes to the game since the last patch include:

- Warts leg is equippable by all factions and has a high chance to stun.
- Mutant items have been revamped (Items such as Shulgoth’s Breath will now appear purple coloured).
- Several new posters & re-textures.
- Ranged weapons have been realistically scaled (smaller).
- Rare and legendary augments less expensive.
- Increased consumable stack size to 100.
- New armour colour sets.
- Elite mob density increased further.

The patch will also include a new easier to use installer, as well as a newly designed game launcher.

For those who have installed the latest 1.0pre patch, there will be an upgrade method available to patch the game to the 1.0 modification. For those still running v.03 it has not been stated yet whether there will be an upgrade method or whether a complete restoration of original files or a new installation may be necessary.

There has been no mention of when the release date for the patch will be, however with the patch notes now on the site, it probably won’t be too much longer of a wait.
