Borderlands DLC: Mad Moxxi released for PC
by Mcrat on Jan.10, 2010, under Borderlands

Borderlands
Instead of new areas to explore and quests to complete (which is what was offered The Zombie Island of Dr Ned), Mad Moxxi’s Underdome Riot includes Riot mode – a new gameplay mode that pits your character or team up against 5 waves of enemies in 3 different arena settings.
The new mode is a change of pace compared to the original game and first DLC, and hands on play testing has shown that you do not receive experience for killing enemies in the arena so this gameplay mode may be better suited for max level characters. There are however new weapons you can find in the arena, so if you feel like taking on the challenge there is a reward at the end of it.
Mad Moxxi’s Underdome Riot costs $9.99 to purchase and can be downloaded from the Gearbox store or from Steam.
Borderlands DLC

Borderlands
The update also includes the highly objected addition of DRM to the game in the form of SecuROM. Listed on the Steam page for the DLC is that the update includes SecuROM and has a 5 machine activation limit.
However on the Gearbox store the DLC is listed as being
limited to 5 concurrent installations. There is a big difference between having a 5 time activation limit and being able to have 5 concurrent installs of the game at one time. At this point in time it’s not clear if the DRM restrictions are the same across all digital delivery services or not.
Feel free to discuss the addition of DRM to Borderlands as well as the recently released DLC, The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned, on our Borderlands forums.

Left 4 Dead Crash Course DLC
by Mcrat on Sep.30, 2009, under Left 4 Dead

Left 4 Dead
The events of the Crash Course campaign are set after the finale of No Mercy (where the survivors escape on the helicopter) and leads up to the beginning of the Death Toll campaign.
However, the main feature of Crash Course is its streamlined Versus mode. This update is set to balance Versus campaigns more effectively and allow the completion of a campaign within 30 minutes, making for a much faster play experience.
To coincide with the release of Crash Course, Left 4 Dead can be bought for half price ($14.99) from the Steam store (sale ends October 2).
