Hellgate London

Initial reports of the game being relaunched as a free-to-play game in the US have not proven to be anything more than wishful thinking, and so for now it seems that the guild has seen the last of HG:L in its original form.

However, it is worth mentioning the Hellgate: Revival project that is currently underway -

“The goal of the project is to create a replica of the original Hellgate: London game developed by Flagship Studios. While there will be minor improvements made to the game, Revival will essentially be everything Hellgate: London is/was with the addition of multiplayer content, LAN support and SDKs for fan/community modifications.”

So if you are still interested in playing Hellgate or even in helping out with this project, be sure to check out their website and forums. There may be a chance yet that the game we all enjoyed will return to our screens.

Whatever happens, at least we have been left with the memories and friendships that have been developed during the relatively short life of the game, and so for that we can only be thankful.
